Add some color to your projects!
These LEDs allow you to color mix any color by varying individual red, green and blue LED chips inside. These are CA (Common Anode) LEDs, which means you connect common anode pin to 3.3 or 5V and the other pins to ground (or GPIO pin) through a resistor.
- Red - 2.0 - 2.2V forward voltage, 20 mA current
- Green - 3.0 - 3.2V
- Blue - 3.0 - 3.2V
If connecting to GPIO pin, remember that the logic is reversed - turning pin LOW turns ON the specified LED and turning the pin HIGH turns OFF the LED color. Use PWM to set the intensity of each LED to do color mixing.
These are clear LEDs, allowing you to see the individual colors. If you want to diffuse the LED for better color mixing, you can just sand it lightly with a nail file or sandpaper to cloud it.
This can be used in the ProtoStax Micro Servo Analog Gauge Add-On to add color-indication for the analog gauge (for example, you can have different scales at different colors and use the LED to indicate which scale's reading is being displayed).
This comes with a plastic LED holder so you can attach the LED to top plate of the ProtoStax Micro Servo Analog Gauge Add-On!
